The Twelfth Annual Southern Connecticut Invitational Science & Engineering Fair occurred on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Amity Regional High School.

Thank you to all the participants, volunteers, and judges of the fair. We couldn't have done it without you!

The Fair is an exposition showcasing the projects of students from many schools in Darien, Greenwich, Westport, and Woodbridge. Each student competes, with either a research proposal or a completed project, in one of four categories: Health Science, Environmental Science, Behavioral Science and Physical Science. The next SCISEF is scheduled for February 9, 2013.

The public is welcomed to view the exhibits and attend the awards ceremony. The 2012 fair featured keynote speaker, Dr. Daniel Riskin. Dr. Riskin is an award-winning evolutionary biologist who specializes in the study of bats and promotes science outreach through television. He is the co-host of Daily Planet, a science show for Discovery Channel Canada. His TV work includes Animal Planet's show about parasites, Monsters Inside Me, and guest appearances on The Dr. Oz Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
